The Problem

"As part of a major restructuring and business change programme, and in response to the feedback our people and our customers were offering us, we determined that we would implement a significant cultural change programme.

Co-create was approached to provide the catalyst for the creation of this programme.

The Solution

Working alongside our main board and the wider Reliance team, Mark helped us to develop the blueprint for cultural change, in light of the new direction we needed to move towards.  He worked with us in creating the following:

  • A new company Mission, Vision and set of goals.
  • Company Values and an accompanying set of behaviours, which set out how we will be working with each other and our customers over the coming years.
  • The blueprint for the cultural change programme.

This will play a significant role in drawing the business forward through:

  • the creation of a leadership development programme
  • embedding these changes within all of our HR Processes
  • including our people in the solution by encouraging them to take part in action learning groups &
  • managing our communication in a more dynamic, engaging way than ever before.
  • Co-Design

    Mark first consulted widely across the business to develop a diagnostic of where the business was presently at in terms of its culture.

    Through a series of workshops, engaging all areas of the business including the board of directors, operations, HR and our Security Officers, he then created a framework document in each of the areas identified above.

    Mark also set up a cultural development team whose role has been and will continue to be important in rolling out this plan.


    Mark was specifically engaged to help our organisation to create a framework for its cultural change programme.  Ultimately, the impact of this will be programme will be
    a greater level of employee engagement; a clearer focus on business objectives, and an enlightened approach to people engagement.  All these measures will help us to better protect our customers and contribute significantly towards our bottom line.
